Uber Eats has announced that it has signed an agreement with the Imperial Wanderers Stadium, in a deal that looks set to enhance the fan experience at the stadium.
The first of its kind partnership will see Uber Eats become the exclusive food ordering app and pick-up partner for the Imperial Wanderers Stadium. This will enable spectators to easily order food from restaurants around the stadium, with the partnership designed to limit the amount of time spent in long queues, missing out on game-changing moments.
“As stadium management, we’ve been hard at work with the sole purpose of enhancing the fan’s stadium experience,” says Jono Leaf-Wright, Central Gauteng Lions CEO. “The journey starts from the comfort of your home to the seamless stadium entrance offering, enhanced security, in-stadia experiences inclusive of entertainment, seamless food order facilities and an expanded eco-friendly product variety, while offering the most affordable prices without compromising quality and service excellence.”
In addition, the stadium will have designated rider pick-up and drop-off zones to enhance safety for all those utilizing the Uber rides service. On match days, Imperial Wanderers stadium will manage traffic for smooth entry at the stadium, as well as provide ushers to direct fans to their assigned seats.
In related news, it’s been announced that popular grass embankment at Imperial Wanderers has been sold out for the Momentum Pink Day one-day international, which will be contested by South Africa and England on the 9th of February next year.
