Rolex remains face of Australian Formula One

Rolex has renewed its sponsorship of the Formula One Australian Grand Prix for the sixth year running.

The Swiss watch brand will return as the title sponsor of the 2018 edition of the race, which will be held once again at the Albert Park circuit in Melbourne from 22nd to 25th March. No financial terms were released. 

 “Every year Melbourne heralds the beginning of a new and exciting season of Formula One emphasising Rolex and the sport’s natural alignment through constant innovation, high-performance engineering and precision,” said Arnaud Boetsch, the Rolex communications director. “We look forward to another successful event in 2018 and Rolex marking another year as event title partner at the Rolex Australian Grand Prix.”

Sean Bratches, the managing director of commercial operations at Formula One, added: “Rolex is one of the world’s pre-eminent brands and we are proud of the association with Formula One. We are delighted that it is extending its agreement with the Australian Grand Prix, which kicks off next year’s championship.

“The Melbourne event is really special with a fantastic atmosphere around it, as the whole city seems to get enthusiastically involved. With continued support from Rolex, we are sure that the 2018 event will be a great experience for everyone who turns up in Albert Park.”
