Mapeza Quits as Chippa Boss

05 Mar 2020

Norman Mapeza has quit as head coach of Absa Premiership side Chippa United.

That’s despite Chippa beating AmaZulu over the weekend.

Former Orlando Pirates assistant coach Rulani Mokwena has since been appointed the club’s new head coach.

Pirates also confirmed that Mokwena will be joined by Michael Loftman as part of his technical team.

Mokwena took over the reigns at the Soweto giants after the sudden resignation of Milutin Sredojevic earlier in the season.

He was in charge for 14 games, managing just four wins, five draws and five defeats in an underwhelming period for the club that soon saw the appointment of current coach Josef Zinnbauer
