The Hollywoodbets Dolphins and Sorbet Man Gateway struck up an innovative relationship where the store became the official grooming partner of the Durban cricket franchise in a launch at their store at Gateway on Monday.
The relationship between the Dolphins and Sorbet Man is the first of its kind for the Dolphins franchise, the head of Marketing and PR at KZN Cricket Nana Ngubane believes that this relationship could spark an interest amongst lifestyle brands to associate themselves with sporting brands and to explore the vast array of opportunities.
“As a young and vibrant brand we want to link ourselves with trendy brands. Sorbet Group is a well-established brand is in the self-care industry,” Ngubane explained.
“Sorbet Man is one of their newer ventures and it was the perfect opportunity for us to align ourselves with a product that emphasizes the benefits of male grooming in a cool and trendy way.
“We are confident that the partnership is a start of a fresh conversation and a different perspective for all our players and fans”
Owner of the Sorbet Man store in Gateway, Bronwyn Cowden is extremely excited by the potential of the collaboration with the Hollywoodbets Dolphins.
“We want to try and educate men more about grooming and the importance of looking after themselves,” she said.
“The players, we felt, are the perfect age bracket to become role models to the younger generation and help them also take pride in looking after themselves.
“We are over the moon with this relationship and are looking forward to hosting the players here and providing them with the necessary products so they can look great on and off the field.”
