Car rental firm Hertz has agreed a sponsorship deal with the New Zealand Cricket national governing body.

The two-year deal runs until August 2019 and names Hertz New Zealand as an official partner of the organisation.

The two-year agreement marks the start of a new relationship and will see NZC and Hertz New Zealand offer fans and car rental customers exclusive promotions, deals and rates.

Hertz will also provide both the men’s and women’s national teams, the BLACKCAPS and WHITE FERNS, with transport vehicles when they tour New Zealand in the summer.

Mark Righton, Hertz Country Manager, New Zealand, said: “Hertz New Zealand is thrilled to be the Official Car Rental Partner of NZC, and will be cheering on our national and domestic sides.

As NZC’s car rental partner, Hertz will be integrated across the organisation’s digital and social media platforms, which will be utilised to enhance fans’ experiences. As a result, Hertz will secure brand exposure in one of New Zealand’s favourite sports and showcase its business to cricket enthusiasts across the nation.

“Kiwis are huge followers of cricket and we’re delighted to be working with such elite and enthusiastic teams. Everyone at Hertz is looking forward to start delivering great deals for fans and supporting the teams with getting to and from matches.

Commercial Manager of NZC, James Wear, added: “We’re really pleased to be partnering with Hertz, an internationally recognised and well respected brand. Our teams travel regularly to play cricket and Hertz is making it seamless and convenient for our players to get to and from matches across the country.”
