Audi Q5 Fast Track

Audi

Audi supercharged their Progressive Partner of the Proteas partnership by conceptualising and implementing an innovative development roadshow programme, assisting CSA to identify potential future Proteas through the utilisation of world leading technology. The Audi Bowling Lab became a revolutionary talent ID tool across disadvantaged communities.

The Audi ‘Q5 Fast Track’ campaign brought alive the new Q5 SUV’s umbrella positioning of ‘Now is Calling’ by changing lives and used the inspiring stories to associate with the vehicle campaign narrative, driving brand affinity, engagement and coverage.

32 days, 5 provinces, 600 bowlers, Mfuneko Ngam (lead ambassador), Proteas players & coaching staff, a fleet of Q5’s that travelled over 5000 km’s and the rest is history. So are the results that captured the imgination of the (traditional and social) media and became the key component to the Q5 selling more than any other model in 2017.

Premier Hockey League Draft 2017

SA Hockey Association

The 2nd edition of South African Premier Hockey League (PHL) official player draft took place at Frontiers Sport & Entertainment Offices prior to the 2017 PHL event.

The draft, which was a 1st in the South African market and generated so much media talk my emulating system used in leagues such as the National Basketball Association (NBA) and the National Football League (NFL), is a squad selection process that sees the coaches of each PHL team take turns, based on an order sequence determined by each teams finishing position in the previous competition, to choose from a pool of eligible players. The only difference in our system is the exclusion of our National Under 21 team due to us following a national agenda of preparing our age group team through giving them competition time in this event.

Nashua Rugby Skills Project

Nashua & ShadowBall

The Nashua Rugby Skills Project is a completely original and unique way of bringing rugby skills training to school-level players. At the centre of the project is the patented design of the ShadowBall and Pass Booster Program, a first in rugby. Through a national roadshow schools were visited twice in 6 weeks through Activation Days. First to assess and record their base level of skills and teach them the ShadowBall training techniques. ShadowBall training kits were left with the schools and on the return visit, players were reassessed to record their degree of skill improvement.

BrightRock Players Choice Awards

BrightRock

The inaugural BrightRock Player’s Choice Awards, held in December 2017 in partnership with MyPlayers, presented an opportunity to extend this message through a cutting-edge event held for professional rugby players by rugby players across all 14 rugby unions. It created a national platform for rugby players to recognise their peers and extended BrightRock’s reach to a broader rugby fan base. Through an integrated campaign which included social media activity, a fan’s choice award and the live broadcast of the glitzy event – which was also attended by celebrities and influencers – BrightRock generated 932 495 social interactions and earned media to the value of over R3.5 million.

Suzanne Stevens, Executive Director of BrightRock said: “We’re proud to have partnered with MyPlayers and the players themselves to craft a needs-matched awards event where the players got to decide about every aspect – from the awards categories to the winners, to the format of the event – even the entertainment. This is very much aligned with BrightRock’s philosophy, which enables every client to precisely design their own life insurance solution that matches their specific individual needs, and in the process extract better value for money – in effect putting change back in our clients’ pockets. Now that’s the kind of change we love!”

HSBC Cape Town Sevens Stadium Screen Activation

SA rugby

SA Rugby identified the need to lift South African in-stadium experiences to a global standard and set out to build the biggest screen experience ever seen in Africa.

We built a 20 ton, three-storey-high mega-screen, using 260 HD LED screens, safely above the heads of thousands of fans, despite numerous obstacles including weather, time constraints and water restrictions.

Moonsport has a huge passion for conservation, so with the assistance of global experts, we used only four tons of water for the ballast tanks and all the water was returned to the original source, using out-of-the-box thinking to make the construction extremely economical.

In addition, we redesigned the in-stadium screen size and so developed a ground-breaking wide screen format that allowed for people to not only be able to see the game, but to engage with information, social media, fan games (kiss cams / wave cams etc) all with brand integration all at the same time.
