The Discovery Sport Industry Summit took place in Johannesburg on 12th May 2017, with leading speakers from international backgrounds and the business world of sport taking the stage to discuss the Future Proofing for the Industry of Tomorrow.
In its fifth year, the Discovery Sport Industry Summit had influential figures from the nation's leading brands, governing bodies and organisations to discuss, debate, network and share best practice on all aspects of the business of sport at Vodacom World.

As a shift in the schedule the Discovery Sport Industry Summit was slotted uniquely alongside the Discovery Sport Industry Awards which was hosted on the 18 May 2017 at the Sandton Convention Centre. Having these stellar events so close to each other allows the business of sport to take centre stage on the African agenda for this period.
